Hot Tracks From New Wax On The Racks - The Spring Has Sprung Edition

So it's spring in the midwest. Which means cleaning and greening up of everything - including your record collection. We've been stacking the shelves at a what is surely a record breaking pace (get it, record) (sorry). We've been so busy stacking, that I feel I've neglected my responsibility of posting about how busy we are stacking. So here we are, me endlessly rambling about how busy we've been stacking records, and you being like dude, just show me the records. So lo and behold - HTFNWOTR

"Gimme Some Truth" from John Lennon's 1971 album "Imagine"

I took (and passed!) a class in college all about political speechwriting, and for my class project I played this song, that's basically about how all politicians lie in their speeches. It went over about how you would expect, except that I passed the class.

"Brokedown Palace" from the 1981 Grateful Dead live album, "Dead Set".

If it's good enough for Yana's dad, it's good enough for HTFNWOTR.

"Making Flippy Floppy" from the 1983 Talking Heads LP, "Speaking in Tongues"

"Our president's crazy, did you hear what he said?"

-David Byrne in 1983, and probably again today

"Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" from Neil Young's amazing 2nd album of the same name, released in 1969.

Loose, sloppy, and perfect.
