Hot Tracks From New Wax on the Racks

So we're going to change things up on this week's installment of HTFNWOTR. We've got some heavy hitters, some absolute classic albums that have recently hit our shelves, so I think it's a good time for a poll, which one of these classic albums (that are currently available at J&B) have the best opening track?

Back in the strictly vinyl days, you know bands knew they needed a killer opening track. Nobody wants to put the needle down anywhere other than that lead groove, and so that lead track had to groove, and as Stevie once said, just because a record has a groove doesn't mean it hits the groove.

So here we go, a diverse group of classic rock legends going toe to toe. Desert island situation, you have to pick one of these albums opening tracks as the best. Good luck, it's a tough choice!

"Achilles Last Stand" from Led Zeppelin's 1976 album "Presence"

"War Pigs/Lukes Wall" from Black Sabbath's 1970 release "Paranoid"

"Refugee" from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 1979 album "Damn the Torpedoes

"Thunder Road" from Bruce Springsteen's 1975 record "Born To Run"

As always, you can keep track of all the albums we add to our shelves here, and follow this ever growing playlist here.
